Acrobat Hand

The left hand of a Vichy Ladder acrobat is vulnerable to damage as it is fixed to the top of the ladder and has all the control wires passing through it. We needed a complete replacement in this case. Maria made a new hand in clay copying a real Vichy hand as these can be quite stylised. In the photo the clay master is resting in its silicone mould, note the use of a plaster case for the silicone. It is a long process.
